Persecution?

Jesus told us we would be blessed for certain things, but unlike what the prosperity preachers that rule the airwaves teach today, Jesus tells us we are blessed in a radically different way. He never said “Blessed are you who make lots of money, for you shall bring it all with you upon your death.” Sorry…still can’t find that verse in Gospels.

However, Jesus did tell us we would be “blessed” if we received persecution for sharing His message. We have found this to be true on many occasions, but we (being human) often times find it hard to understand how we should feel blessed as a result. (Matthew 5:10-12; John 15:19)

It’s not easy to accept that people are opposed (sometimes violently) to what you have to share. There is not much else to compare this teaching with what the world tells us is the “good” life, or in other words, what the world tells us we will be “blessed” by doing.

We are not trying to promote yet another schism in the overflowing numbers of denominations within what calls itself the “Church.” Our only goal is to share the teachings of Jesus, as we understand them, and hopefully inspire people to take a good look at what He taught.

Nevertheless, since persecution must come…we will learn how to accept it lovingly, and learn how to love those who consider us enemies.

His profoundly revolutionary and unrivaled teachings about love, if practiced, open our eyes to the matrix of greed that he came to free us from. Read more to discover the message that centuries of church dogma & doctrine have attempted to hide from you.
